Our son, now 10 years old, has been a patient of the Speachy Learning Center for the past 2+ years. We have seen a complete transformation in him during this time.

We originally reached out to the Speachy Learning Center looking for speech therapy support. There wasn't an immediate opening so Mayra recommended that we consider joining another class, Thinking Tools, in the interim. It turns out that Thinking Tools is what I can't stop raving about - I wish I had this course when I was a kid (or even now, as an adult). The Thinking Tools paired with 1:1 and then group-based speech therapy, has helped our son grow immensely in his ability to communicate, and his overall confidence.

Mayra is an expert and paramount professional. She is warm and approachable. She knows her stuff, but is incredibly humble and gentle in her approach. She gives parents options and helps them decide what is the best path for their kid.

Was referred to Mayra from some friends and have to say that we are extremely pleased. She's amazing w kids and it's clear that she's very experienced. She has a PhD in linguistics and was very knowledgeable on multilingualism which was key in our case. Would highly recommend her and Speachy!  Working w kids requires a good kid friendly personality and there's no one we've met whose got that down better than Mayra.

This review is WAY over due. My two boys have worked with Mayra and her team for the last 6 years. Both of my boys (now ages 8 & 11) experienced a lack of verbal skills that had this fast talking Mom from NY very bewildered! And while they are both mildly dyslexic, the connection between learning differences and speech are very misunderstood and frustrating. But not to Mayra! Mayra was able to figure out how to get the words flowing so that the brilliant thoughts they were having could come out of their mouths. Not only that, I consider her to be one of my most valuable partners in Motherhood. When I am frustrated, and feel like the progress of my boys is slow, Mayra is quick to step in and calm my type A tendencies and point out ways to improve their learning.Without Mayra, and the entire team at Speachy, my boys would not be doing as well as they are doing. Mayra works to help kids reach their full potential and for that I am forever grateful.
