Mayra Leon Cramer, MS, CCC-SLP, received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Linguistics from UCLA and her Masters of Science degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from California State University Northridge. Prior to being a Speech Pathologist, Mayra was a classroom teacher (K, 2nd, and 4th grade) for Los Angeles Unified School District for 6 years.

Mayra started Speachy in 2004 after having practiced in a wide variety of therapeutic settings, including hospitals, schools, early intervention centers, and skilled nursing facilities. Her passion and excitement for teaching, children, languages, and learning made her want to create a center where children felt like they wanted to come to learn and connect with others deeply and also where other professionals could brainstorm, collaborate, and make a lasting impact on the lives of children and their families.

Mayra, a native Spanish speaker, is proficient in Portuguese and French. She enjoys traveling near and far, spending time in nature, reading everything, and spending time with her dogs and any other dogs she might come across.
